Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Hedayatullah Badri met with representatives of the Azizi Energy technical committee to discuss natural gas-based power generation and future cooperation.
Both sides reviewed opportunities for energy sector development, gas exploration, and electricity production. The committee presented a technical proposal aimed at improving gas resource extraction and utilizing domestic reserves for power generation. Officials said such projects could help reduce electricity shortages, support economic growth, and create jobs.
The ministry expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation and facilitate implementation of joint projects within the legal framework.
