A joint delegation from the Afghan Embassy in Islamabad and the Consulate in Peshawar visited Afghan migrant camps across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to assess conditions.

The delegation visited Hamza Baba camp in Landi Kotal, Nasir Bagh in Peshawar, Maskin camp, and a temporary site, meeting migrants and hearing their concerns. They also held talks with Pakistani officials, calling for expanded registration, mobile teams, more staff, and separate facilities for women.

Food assistance was distributed to vulnerable migrants. Following the visit, additional registration counters were added in Hamza Baba camp, registration resumed in Nasir Bagh, and a UNHCR screening center in Azakhel Nowshera was reactivated.

Officials said efforts will continue to address migrants’ challenges and facilitate dignified return to Afghanistan.
