Bangladesh's Presidential Office has announced that President Mohammad Shahabuddin has resigned due to serious health issues. According to the official statement, doctors have diagnosed him with autonomic neuropathy, a condition that can cause temporary loss of consciousness. Shahabuddin, 76, had served as President of Bangladesh since 2023. His resignation comes amid continuing political developments following the removal of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 2024.
