Afghanistan's Ministry of Industry and Commerce has announced measures to expand the use of national languages on business signboards, commercial licenses, and product brands.
During a meeting chaired by Deputy Minister Mawlawi Shahabuddin Saqib, officials discussed the use of national-language names for companies, adding translations for foreign terms where necessary, and reviewing previously issued licenses.
According to the ministry, new business licenses will avoid unnecessary foreign terminology, while existing signboards and commercial licenses will continue to be reviewed and updated where required.
